Where to find the bookkeeping qualifications?

Once you have access, you’ll need to work through the Level 2 and Level 3 bookkeeping units. We recommend you do these in order so that you first learn the basics and then move on to the more difficult content. In the portal, you’ll find a list of all available AAT courses; once you complete your bookkeeping course, feel free to go on and study these with the same subscription, and you can become fully AAT qualified.

Complete these units to become a qualified bookkeeper:

  • Level 2

    • Introduction to Bookkeeping (ITBK) (plus one exam)
    • Principles of Bookkeeping Controls (POBC) (plus one exam)

  • Level 3

    • Financial Accounting: Preparing Financial Statements (FAPS) (plus one exam)
    • Tax Processes for Businesses (TPFB) (plus one exam)

Once you have completed the above and passed your exams, you can then apply for AAT bookkeeping membership launch. This allows you to use AATQB (AAT Bookkeeping Member) after your name and means you are able to start practising, fully qualified.
